Serge- absolutely LOVED this week’s essay on multiple levels.
I also have super fond memories of the Summer of 84. My older brothers already paved the road for me as they were both huge Springsteen fans- but in that summer as I was leaving Jr. High and entering high school - the Born in the USA record and Dancing in the Dark felt like my entry point. Formative album for a formative age for sure.
Also loved the backyard “camping” - as it reminded me of similar suburban adventures from days gone by.
This passage also hit hard-
There is a yearning.
The yearning.
You know it.
We wanted everything.
And we never came close.
Except that we did.
Serge- Wishing you, and all in the Thunder Pie community a Summer in which the “yearning” leads to the creation of memories that will sustain us for our remaining years.

I don't know what is more iconic, that Clarence appears out of nowhere or the fact the plays air sax. ALT THOUGHT--It's their AGT audition tape.
DITD = an alltime superslice 🤗
